Fresno City College Review

The Fresno City College Review (formerly known as The Ram's Tale) is published each spring semester by the Humanities Division of Fresno City College. The contents are the work of students of Fresno City College; the authors and the artists retain all rights to their work.

Printed editions will be available in the Humanities Division office on the Fresno City College campus. It is located in FO-41. Please call (559) 442-8281 for more information.

 

Submissions

We are currently accepting submissions for the Spring 2016 edition of The Fresno City College Review. The deadline for writing submissions is February 12, 2016.

Writing:

Submissions of writing are accepted only via email.

Submissions must be your own original content. You retain the copyright to your work. Your submissions should be your best possible work. Revisions of already-submitted work will not be accepted.

Make sure your name, the title and genre of the piece is included in the content of the file you send.

An email must accompany all submissions with the following information:

  • full name
  • phone number
  • email address
  • title of the work
  • genre

The Fresno City College Review editing team reserves the right to perform corrective editing. We will do everything in our power to contact you before any other editing to your work is performed.

Photography:

Digital Print Photography Submissions:

  • Digital photos should be at least 4x7 inches and 300 dpi to ensure good print quality if they are selected for publication.
  • Submissions must be your own original content. You retain the copyright to your work.
  • Your submissions should be your best possible work. Revisions of already-submitted photographs will not be accepted.
  • All work submitted via email must include the following information:
    • full name
    • phone number
    • email address
    • title of the work
  • No more than five photos may be submitted by each person each year.

Print photography submissions:

Submissions must be your own original content. You retain the copyright to your work and your print will be returned to you after it has been reviewed by the judges.

Please print and fill out this photography submission form (PDF file, 51KB) and include it with your print in a protective envelope. Bring this envelope to the Humanities Division office.

 

Art

Two-dimensional art submissions:

Submissions must be your own original content. You retain the copyright to your work and your work will be returned to you after it has been reviewed by the judges.

Your submissions should be your best possible work.

All work submitted must have the full name, phone number, and email address of the artist, and the title of the work should be securely attached to the work or written upon the back of the work.

The Fresno City College Review editors do not take responsibility for lost or damaged original art submitted for review and publication. All possible means will be taken to not damage artwork in the course of review for publication. Small pieces of artwork should be placed in a manila folder for protection.

The deadline of February 12 will be strictly enforced. No art submissions will be accepted after this date.
