Welcome to Fresno City College, “Home of the Rams”! On behalf of the athletic department, I encourage you to inquire about the academic and athletic opportunities awaiting you at Fresno City. We offer 20 intercollegiate athletic teams on our campus. The Ram programs are highly successful, winning many conference championships every season. Our teams compete for state and national championships as well every year.
In 2012, the FCC Athletic Department received the inaugural crowning achievement in college athletics, the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup which honors institutions maintaining a broad-based program, achieving success in many sports, both men’s and women’s. The award began in 1993-94 for Division I by NACDA and USA Today, it was expanded in 1995-96 to include Division II, III and the NAIA. In 2012, the community college division was added.
At Fresno City College, it is our goal to challenge student-athletes both academically and athletically so that they may be successful in their future endeavors. With a program based on integrity, quality and excellence, the athletic department is dedicated and committed to providing our student-athletes with the best college experience possible. Our Fresno City College students will strive for academic excellence, develop lifetime bonds, and form positive work and life habits in both athletic competition and in the classroom.
As the first community college in California, we believe in giving back by providing quality programs and maintaining a tradition that is so valued by the college and its alumni.
