The 14th Annual Latino Graduation Celebration will be held on:
Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the Fresno City College - Old Admininstration Building Auditorium
Ceremony: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Graduates are required to arrive by 4:00 pm at the OAB Auditorium.
Graduates must be prepared to form the procession line by 4:15 pm or they will not be able to participate. LGC volunteers will be available to assist graduates in the process.
Graduates will be asked to fill out a 3x5 card with their name, major (degree or certificate) and a “Thank You” message of their choice. The “Thank you” messages cannot be more than 25 words. Messages can be in English and/or Spanish. Graduates will be asked to read their “Thank You” message during the graduation ceremony when their name is announced.
Graduates who may need special accommodations for seating due to a disability must inform a LGC volunteer for assistance.
To participate in the 2017 Latino Graduation Celebration, students must complete and submit the free registration form online before April 22, 2017. Go to reservation form
The sash is a “gift” that each graduate will receive the day of the celebration. Graduates are to wear the sash during the graduation celebration. The sash consists of the Fresno City College colors; red and white.
No cap and gown is required. Please dress with a professional attire (Guayaveras, suit and tie, dresses, slacks, heels, etc). Graduates will have their picture taken.
FAMILY MEMBERS AND GUESTS:
Admission to the celebration is free of cost. Doors will open for family members at 4:00 pm. Please do not bring ballons into the Auditorium.
There will be free/relaxed parking available in campus parking lots.
Guests with Wheel Chairs- Handicapped seating is available in the theatre. Please seek usher assistance.
LATINO GRADUATION CELEBRATION PICTURES:
A high quality digital picture of each graduate shaking hands with the president of Fresno City College will be taken as each student makes their way across the stage. Pictures of the graduate and president can be accessed for free on the LFSA Facebook page.
