Dean’s Medallion of Excellence Award Winners 2017

Fresno City College has announced the 2017 Dean’s Medallion of Excellence Award winners. The award is given to an exemplary student in each of the college’s division based on the student’s academic achievements, community service and general excellence.

The Dean’s Medallion Recognition Ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 11 in the Old Administration Building, Room 251.

This is the most prestigious award given to a graduate. Dean’s from each division selects the recipient and the winner also receives a $500 scholarship. The Dean’s Medallion Award winners will be recognized at the 2017 Commencement Ceremony on May 19 at Selland Arena. One of the award winners will also be given the Tony Cantu President's Medallion. The President's Medallion is named in honor of the College's late president Tony Cantu who passed away two years ago. The recipient of the Tony Cantu President's Medallion will receive an additional $1,000 scholarship. FCC President Dr. Carole Goldsmith will determine the winner.

Mr. Adrian Jimenez of Fresno

Counseling and Guidance, Student Services Division
Mr. Christopher Forestiere of Fresno

Humanities Division
Ms. Marissa Sanchez of San Joaquin

Social Sciences Division
Mr. Miguel Zendejas of Fresno
