Housing Opportunities Promote Education (HOPE)

Mission Statement

HOPE is an academic program that provides housing support to current FCC students experiencing homelessness for students to progress in their education and become permanently housing stable upon program.

Services Offered

Affordable Apartment

Students lease an apartment they can afford based on their individual financial aid award, government assistance and employment income.

Move-in Deposit / Rental Assistance

All students receive move-in deposits and possible ongoing rental assistance, as long as they maintain 9 unit enrollment and earn a 2.0 GPA.

Substance Use Disorder Treatment

Students in need of treatment for substance use disorder and recovery support receive individual and group counseling services through WestCare California.

Intensive Case Management / Housing Navigation

Students also receive individual case management to navigate them to their own permanent apartment at program exit.
