MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

I would like to thank the faculty, staff, administrators, community partners and students who attend last night’s town hall meeting organized by California Community College State Chancellor Eloy Ortiz Oakley. This is a series of community meetings throughout the state hosted by the State Chancellor’s Office. Organizers reported that it was the best attended event thus far. It was held at the Westside Church of God.

The event was sponsored by the Black and African American Advisory Panel of the California Community Colleges.  Several workshops were held discussing access, removing barriers and improving graduation and completion rates. 

 This was a significant community event in West Fresno but our work is not done! We will continue to have more conversations in our community and create even stronger bonds as we move forward with our equity plans.  We will continue to host college and community events in preparation for the new West Fresno campus.

Thank you for your continued support and all your work last night.  It was a remarkable event for our future students and community.
