Message to Students: March 20, 2020
Last night, Governor Gavin Newsom declared a “Shelter in Place” for all of California to protect the health and well-being of all Californians and to establish consistency across the state in order to slow the spread of COVID-19. We continue to take all the necessary precautions at the college and your efforts to stay home and not gather in large groups could help save lives.
Next week the college will transition to offering all spring semester classes online. I am calling this our “Humanitarian Week” as we learn how to communicate and adapt in this new learning environment.
Please have patience with us and yourself as we all learn a new way of learning together. Be sure to log in to your Canvas shell and check your email often. Reach out to your friends and your professor.
Your instructors are in the process of migrating all in person classes to an online format. Check in to MyPortal to keep in contact with your instructors and to receive the information you need for your classes.
