Special Message: August 4, 2020
Please view a special recorded message from our president, Dr. Carole Goldsmith.
These are challenging times. As you know, the 2020 fall semester will be primarily online. Several task force groups have been meeting over the summer and have created plans for the safe return to campus. We are closely watching the Governors guidelines and will continue to make decisions based on the best interests of our students, staff, faculty and community.
As you know, the Central Valley is on the COVID-19 state watch list. Our K-12 partners have been forced to be online by the State. As a result of the current community health indicators, there will be no children in Child Development Center, no students will be participating in athletic competitions, theatre arts, music performances, art studios or science labs at this time.
We will continue to offer the few specific programs in the Allied Health and Applied Technology divisions that are deemed essential by the State. Safeguards that have performed exceptionally well are in place to ensure the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff.
Facial coverings and social distancing continue to be mandatory for everyone while on campus or at the Career & Technology Center.
Thank you for your grace, cooperation and partnership as we face this crisis together!
