I feel it is important to take a moment to recognize your steadfast efforts over these past ten months. Because of you, we were able to continue to safely provide the education our students seek to make a better life for themselves and their families. Through your tireless efforts we were able to distribute the technology and food that was needed. Through your generous donations, we surpassed our #GivingTuesday fundraising goals and we were able to extend even more assistance to students who experienced hardship due to the pandemic and wild fires. I want to express my deepest appreciation to all of you for your leadership and support throughout this very challenging and daunting year. While I am certain that 2021 will have its own set of unique challenges, I know we will face them together with same strength and solidarity that we have shown as a College throughout 2020.

Like many of you, I am also hopeful that the promise of a new year will bring health and prosperity back to our Valley and nation. With vaccines arriving, we can start to see the beginning of the end of the pandemic. However, it remains clear that our students struggled to stay enrolled and I extremely grateful for every effort that you have made, and will continue to make, to adapt our services and Spring schedules so we may reach out to struggling students and displaced workers. I am confident that by working together, our college will lead the Valley in the economic recovery. In 2021, we will continue to work together to seek more resources for students and fight for any additional policy or regulatory relief that we need to better support our students and serve our community.

In closing, you have my word, that we will do all we can to continue to advocate for our students, staff and community.
