Current Title V Grants

ReDefining Student Ready

ReDefining Student Ready began on October 1, 2019 and is expected to end on September 30, 2025 (including a one-year extension). The grant has several major components - professional development, a future mobile app dedicated to Fresno City College, and a brand new First Year Experience (FYE) program for freshmen coming directly from high school. 

Beyond Basic Needs

Beyond Basic Needs (BBN) is the newest Title V grant at Fresno City College - starting on October 1, 2022. The grant includes plans to create a new Basic Needs Center at FCC, build a mobile Basic Needs Center, and to create paid internships for FCC students.

Supported Student Internship Programs

In partnership with Fresno State, CVCC Fellows provide 450 hours of service to the community, and engage in personal and professional development, all while earning money for college. Fellows work with local community benefit organizations in the areas of education, food insecurity, and climate action, in order to build healthier and more equitable communities across California

LAEP connects students to paid work experiences related to their area of study, career objective, or the exploration of career objectives. LAEP students can work in nonprofits, for-profit companies, schools, and with LAEP positions at Fresno City College.
