Have you ever wondered why people make the decisions they do?  Why some countries are wealthy, and some are poor?  What causes economic booms and busts? Where does money come from and what gives it value? Economics is the study of decision-making in the presence of scarcity; how consumers, businesses and governments balance their desire for unlimited wants within a world of limited resources.  Studying economics will put you on the path to understand the U.S. and global economy, analyze economic data, and make more informed choices.
