Erik Damien Escovedo
Erik Damien Escovedo (b. 1981, Fresno, CA) is a Tarahumara & Mescalero Apache artist, activist, and writer. He received his BA in American Indian Culture and Art from CSU-Fresno in 2018. He will complete the graduate program for a Master's degree in Studio Art in May 2021 from CSU-Fresno. Group exhibitions include TRASHed: Coachella Arts and Music Festival (Empire Polo Field, Indio, California) TRASHed: The Art of Recycling Exhibition (Hollywood, CA), and Outside Lands Music Festival (San Francisco, CA). He is an alum of Fresno City College, and in 2014, he designed the Yokuts Plaza Monument which serves as a the marker for the college’s land acknowledgement of the Yokuts and Mono tribes of Central California.
