Sally Potter taught her first class at Fresno City College in 1999 and has been a full-time instructor of Linguistics and English for Multi-Lingual Students (EMLS) at Fresno City College since 2012. She received her BA in English Literature and MA in Linguistics with a TESOL emphasis from CSU Fresno.
Sally was born and raised in Fresno and attended Viking Elementary, Scandinavian Middle School, and McLane and Hoover High Schools. She is also a Fresno City College alumna. She played on the women’s soccer team at FCC from 1991-92 and the inaugural women’s team at CSUF in 1995.
Besides fulfilling her teaching role in the Humanities Division, Sally currently serves the college as one of the Open Educational Resource (OER) leads. She feels passionately about providing students access to free and low-cost course materials whenever possible.
