Stephanie Snyder received her B.A. in English with a minor in Psychology. She went on to study fiction writing and received her M.F.A. in creative writing with an emphasis in fiction. Then she received her teaching credential, which allowed her to teach high school. She taught high school English for ten years before coming to Fresno City College as a full time instructor. Because of her educational background she instructs in a way that values cooperative learning strategies and active learning. 

In addition to being an English instructor, she is a mom of 3 kids, a wife, an avid gardener, a Pokémon Go enthusiast, and a traveler.
