Fresno City College Celebrates Inaugural #FCCGivingTuesday to Benefit the Ram Pantry
This #GivingTuesday Fresno City College will celebrate giving by making a difference for students with food insecurities. Established in 2015, the Ram Pantry is a free food assistance program for FCC students who are currently enrolled in college. All proceeds from this inaugural giving campaign will benefit the Ram Pantry.
The goal is to raise $50,000 this year! All donations will increase the Ram Pantry’s purchasing power each week to provide healthy food options for FCC students. Food insecurity and hunger should not be a barrier to the academic success of students.
This year, State Center Community College Foundation Board President, Gina Cuttone has agreed to match $5,000 for the Ram Pantry during #FCCGivingTuesday. If $5,000 is raised, Gina Cuttone will match with an additional $5,000 for the FCC Ram Pantry.
On Monday, November 26, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – Noon, a presidential challenge will be announced by FCC President, Dr. Carole Goldsmith. The celebratory event will be held in front of the Bookstore Building with a check presentation and refreshments.
“As we prepare for November 27, we’re energized and encouraged by the community’s generosity. The levels of creativity, effort and the quality of the new ideas people have contributed and shared are phenomenal,” said Dr. Carole Goldsmith, president of Fresno City College.
