FCC Open House
Saturday, October 13, 2018
10 am - 2 pm
Join Fresno City College for the first community Open House on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This event is open to all—students, their families, community members and anyone who wants to know more about the first community college in California.
The FCC Open House is the perfect opportunity and a new way for everyone in the community to tour the campus and discover what the college can offer you. It will be a day full of fun, learning, and entertainment.
Explore Fresno City College through campus tours every 30 minutes and visit to the art/photography galleries and Anthropology Museum. Meet Sam the Ram and the FCC cheerleaders who will give away tickets to the football game that day at 1:00 PM. Check out our fire truck and police vehicles from our Fire and Police academies. You’ll enjoy student poetry readings and a concert featuring the Choir and Concert Band. Food trucks will be available if you want to get some lunch.
Don’t forget our special music guest, FCC alumnus Patrick Contreras, a master violinist performing in the Free Speech Area at 12-12:45 PM. Contreras is shaping music as a one of Fresno’s popular musicians and will thrill you with his expanding style in Blues, EDM, Rock and Hip Hop.
You can attend the resource fair to have a one-on-one conversation with student clubs, Counseling, Financial Aid, College Relations, and special programs, such as Dream Center and Veterans Resource Center. Academic divisions will hold exclusive workshops introducing different careers and majors.
Open House is the place to be on October 13. “It’s more than just opening our doors and learning about our programs,” shares Emilee Slater, Director of College Relations, “It’s about experiencing our school in a new way. We are so proud to open our campus to everyone, not just incoming students.”
As one of the largest providers of degrees and certificates in the Central Valley, Fresno City College believes it is important to showcase the campus through this new and exciting event for the community.
