Speakers Forum Presents an Evening with Taye Diggs
The stage is set for the Broadway and film star, Taye Diggs, at Fresno City College. Speakers Forum proudly presents An Evening with Taye Diggs on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 7:00pm in the Old Administration Building Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
During the conversation-style presentation, Diggs will speak on topics including his career, diversity and raising biracial children in today's American. He will hold a book signing following his presentation.
Diggs has been featured in multiple Broadway productions, films and television show. His debut was in the original cast for the award winning Broadway musical called Rent. His latest Broadway production was performing the title role in Hedwig and the Angry Inch as the first African American to play Hedwig in New York. Diggs is also known for his role in three seasons of TNT's Murder in the First where he was nominated for "Outstanding Male Actor in a Drama Series" form the 2014 NAAP Image Award. He has appeared in season three of the hit Fox drama "Empire," and recently starred in the Netflix film Set It Up.
In addition to his acting career, Diggs is the successful author of the three children's books called Mixed Mel, Chocolate Mel and I Love You More Than... He is the Child Literacy Ambassador for the National Head Start Association.
