Dreamer's Health Fair
On Saturday, April 6, 2019, the Fresno City College Dream Center will host its inaugural "Dreamer's Health Fair." The event will be held in the Fresno City College Old Administration Building and the FCC Cafeteria from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Parking is relaxed.
Workshops and information tables for migrant and dreamer families include information on healthy living for students; how to manage depression, anxiety and stress; healthy relationships; domestic abuse; homelessness; wellness' and food insecurity. Breakout sessions will target college age students, parents, and parents with younger children at home.
A general session for all attendees will discuss psychological issues for youth and how to deal with them.
The health fair is made possible through a $1,500 grand awarded to the FCC Dream Center through the California Community Colleges Foundation towards supporting health and wellness. FCC is extremely fortunate to collaborate with colleagues from the Fresno County Office of Education Migrant Education and share resources to larger arrary of attendees.
