Ram Camp Canceled

Jun 4, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Fresno City College is unfortunately canceling this summer's Ram Camp, the popular children's summer sports camp.

Ram Camp has been offered for over 40 years serving hundreds of students each summer. The camp provided boys and girls, ages 6-14, the opportunity to improve their skill levels, develop sportsmanship, learn fair play and increase fitness through a number of sports activities. The camp is run by the FCC Physical Education department.

"We do expect Ram Camp to be back - even better - next year", said Lorraine Smith, Dean of the Allied Health, Physical Education an Athletics division.

Camp director Brenda Frazier encourages parents to keep their children active while they remain at home during the pandemic. "Physical fitness is not only of the most important keys to a healthy body, its the basic of dynamic and creative activity. So, continue to support and encourage your kids to stay a active," she said.

Some of the fun activities she recommends include playing dodgeball with toilet paper, Freeze Tag, Cross the River and Four Corners.
