Eight new inductees to the FCC Football Wall of Fame Announced
The 31st Fresno City College Football Wall of Fame dinner will be held on Sunday, August 29 at Pardini’s (2257 W. Shaw, Fresno). Eight new inductees will be added to the wall which is dedicated to former players whose commitment to the sport contributed to the greatness of the football program at FCC.
This year’s inductees are the following alumni: Ron Leimbach (1959-61), Rick Berry (1973-74), Kevin Christensen (1985-86), Brandon Gonzales (1999-2000), Matt Faga (2000-01), Ray Hightower (2001-02), Max Steward (2001-02) and Tony Curtis (2001-02).
“This “Wall” is the foundation of Ram Football,” said head football coach Tony Caviglia.
Each inductee was selected by a committee of current and former coaches, players and WOF members on the basis of playing ability, positive character, and service to the football program. Each name will be etched on the marble wall on the home side of Ratcliffe Stadium. This latest group of inductees brings FCC’s distinguished Wall of Fame roster to 206.
“We have another great group of former players who will be inducted into the Fresno City College Football Wall of Fame. This year’s class have all thrived since leaving us, and continue to inspire those around them to be great! “
