Rams Compete in State Championships
Two FCC teams are going to the State Championships. Women’s Soccer will travel to Walnut, California and Volleyball is staying home as FCC is host to the Volleyball State Championships this weekend.
Soccer
The CCCAA Women’s Soccer State Championship is December 3 and 5 at Mt. San Antonio College. Fresno City College, led by head coach Oliver Germond, and Hartnell College represent the North. Mt. San Antonio College and Cypress College are the two southern California teams. The two-time state champions finished the season 15-2-7.
In the first round on Friday, FCC takes on Cypress College at 4 p.m. At the same time, Hartnell College faces Mt. San Antonio College. The winners of each match will play in the finals on Sunday at 10 a.m. All matches will be live streamed.
Volleyball
Head Volleyball coach Kieran Roblee is hoping to treat the hometown crowd to another state championship. Joining FCC from the North is Feather River College, West Valley College and American River College. Bakersfield, Grossmont, San Diego Mesa and College of the Canyons represent the south. FCC’s first match is Friday, December 3 in the FCC Gym at 4 p.m. against San Diego Mesa College. This match will also be live streamed.
This is the team’s third consecutive trip to the state championships and fourth in the last five years. They finished the season 30-3 overall and 16-0 in conference.
Volleyball Tickets
Tickets for the Volleyball State Championships are $30 for an All Session Pass; $12 Adult General Admission; $8 Senior Citizen.
