International Education Week
The International Student program at Fresno City College will celebrate International Education Week November 14 – 18, 2022. This a national event is held each November to celebrate international students and study abroad education. The Fresno City College International Student program currently provides services to 80 students from a number of countries including Vietnam, South Korea, China, India, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Venezuela, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Sweden, Mexico, and Taiwan.
Daily Occurrence from November 14-18: International Flag Display in the Cafeteria; Country and International Student Profile Displays in the Library.
Monday, November 14
Free lunch provided by the Sikh Community in front of Cafeteria. 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
International Education Student Forum at 3:00 pm at the OAB Auditorium where a panel of American students that have studied abroad, as well as international students studying in the U.S. will be asked about their experiences living abroad/ in the U.S.
Tuesday, November 15- Origami Master, Mr. Raymond Thomas will be holding a workshop on the Japanese art of origami. This is an artisan tradition that dates to the 17th Century Japanese Edo Period. Special paper is used in this craft. Some historians date this paper folding art to China and the 10th Century. Typical origami designs can include a crane, a dog, a rabbit, a turtle, and a crab.
Wednesday, November 16- A selection of international dancers will perform in the Cafeteria at 12 Noon.
