FCC Dance Expo 2023
The FCC Dance Expo is slated for Saturday, July 29, and is hosted by the FCC dance faculty.
Master dance teachers of all dance genres and styles have been invited to share their expertise and will offer dance classes for FCC students, high school students and the local community. FCC dance alumni will also participate and will share their dance professions and experiences.
A gala performance will culminate this event at 6:00 p.m. in the FCC OAB Auditorium. Tickets are $10 each for the day and can be purchased on Eventbrite-Dance Expo
The day’s agenda will include 27 workshops featuring a variety of dance styles, genres, dance culture and dance performances. Master classes are offered every hour: ballet, jazz, cultural dance, contemporary and more for all ages, levels, and abilities.
Dance Expo coordinator Cristal Tiscareno is excited to announce that new this year is a session with a professional panel discussing “Mental Health and Importance of Dance.”
“This is our first session exploring mental health and dance. We will have several dance and mental health professionals discussing the use of movement/dance elements in supporting mental health, which is so important for our entire community, not just dancers,” Tiscareno said.
Proceeds benefit the FCC dance department foundation to support FCC dance students, faculty, master teachers and student volunteers for their time and talents.
