This year’s Graduation events are coming up soon at Fresno City College. FCC will celebrate the many students who have completed their studies to earn associate degrees with the main Commencement Ceremony taking place on Monday, May 20 in the Save Mart Center beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Below is a listing of celebrations leading up to the main ceremony. It includes various cultural events, a ceremony recognizing students who have earned a certificate of achievement, and the Dean’s Medallion Ceremony.

Join us as we celebrate our LGBTQ student community. This year's keynote speaker is Fresno State's Assistant Professor for the Kremen School of Education & Human Development, Dr. Angel Gonzalez.
COUNTDOWN TO GRADUATION PARTY

New this year, is the Countdown to Graduation party. Please join us for an afternoon of BBQ, music, outdoor games, and photo opportunities to celebrate the graduating class of 2024! This event will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 12-5 PM in Veteran's Square (grass area between the cafeteria and the bookstore). Hotdogs and snacks will be provided to attendees while supplies last. We will have selfie stations to take pictures in your graduation attire with friends, or with Sam the Ram. A DJ will also be playing music, and outdoor games and activities will be available to students.

LATINO GRADUATION CELEBRATION

Join the Latino Faculty & Staff Association as we celebrate the academic achievements of our Latino graduates, on Saturday, May 11th, 2024, from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM. We will start our celebration with Mariachi Rubi, followed by words of wisdom from this year's Keynote speaker, Dr. Felipe Mercado, leading to the presentation of the Latino Graduation stoles, and finishing off with Folklorico dancers, light refreshments, and an opportunity for graduates to take pictures with their family and friends!
2024 BLACK GRADUATION CELEBRATION

Join us for a vibrant African American Celebration where we will honor and embrace the rich culture, history, and achievements of the African American with our graduates. The celebration will include lively music, captivating performances, and delicious food. The Black Graduation Celebration is sponsored by the African American Faculty and Staff Association.
COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY

Almost 2,500 students have earned degrees this year and are eligible to participate in this year’s ceremony. Degrees include Associate in Science and Associate in Arts degrees; and Associate Degrees for Transfer.
This year’s keynote speaker and Distinguished Alumnus Award recipient is Dr. Lance V. Truong, a 2012 graduate and Dean’s Medallion Award recipient.
