Police Academy Graduation
The Fresno City College Police Academy will hold a completion ceremony at Peoples Church on Friday, November 22 at 11:00 a.m. for Police Academy Class #175. Its 45 cadets have completed 1013 hours of the academy basic courses that includes, Cultural Diversity, Search & Seizure, Laws of Arrest, Principled Policing in the Community, Use of Force, First Aid/CPR, Emergency Vehicle Operations, Report Writing and Physical Fitness.
In addition, several awards will be presented:
- Top Physical Training Award
- Top Law Enforcement Skills Award
- Top Academic Student Award
- Best All Around Student Award
Awards are sponsored by Fresno/Madera Counties Police Chiefs Association.
There are 42 police cadets who have been hired by 12 different law enforcement agencies that include Fresno Police Department, Fresno Sherriff’s Office, Tulare Sheriff’s Office, Madera Police Department and the Clovis Police Department.
