Spring 2024 semester off to a good start
With the new Spring semester, comes new services available to Fresno City College students. Enrollment is robust with FCC exceeding its enrollment goal with 102% on the first day. Almost 22,800 students are enrolled, and that number is expected to increase. The semester started on Monday, January 8 and there are new transportation options for the 2024 Spring Semester. There is also extra help available to help them through the first week.
WEST FRESNO CENTER
The FCC West Fresno Center is now complete with the opening of the Advanced Transportation Center which houses FCC’s automotive technology programs. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Thursday, January 25 at 10:00 am.
On Monday, January 8, a free shuttle service began for Fresno City College students who are taking spring semester classes at the main campus and the new West Fresno Center. Riders must be registered for spring classes to sign up for this service. While this is a free service, students will need to register 12 hours in advance each day to catch a ride.
The pick-up and drop-off location at Fresno City College is near the Language Arts Building highlighted in red on the campus map.
The pick-up and drop-off location at the West Fresno Center is at the Academic Center loading area.
KERMAN SHUTTLE
In addition, FCC is also offering a free shuttle service to FCC students who live in Kerman and have registered for spring semester classes. Kerman students can register here to add their names to the list.

CAMPUS SHUTTLE SERVICE
The campus shuttle is returning with six stops on campus from January 8 – 26, 2024. Students driving to campus are reminded to purchase parking permit which is available online only.
Remember there are over 800 parking stalls in the FCC Parking Structure located near the Blackstone and Weldon entrance. This is one of the shuttle stops and students can catch a ride to other areas of the campus. There is also a shuttle stop behind Ratcliffe Stadium.
FREE BUS PASSES
The Fresno Area Express (FAX) transit system and Fresno City College will again offer free bus passes for FCC students who have an Associated Student Body Card (ASB). Students can purchase the card in the in Business Office or the Student Activities Office for $5.
NEW WELCOME CENTER
The newly opened Welcome Center,
located near the Parking Structure at Blackstone and Weldon, will assist students with technology and other requests.
At the Welcome Center, students can access these services:
- Onboarding Computer Lab
- Apply to the College
- Orientation Completion
- Financial Aid and A&R documentation printing
- Student Portal Support
WELCOME WEEK BOOTHS
Welcome Week Spring 2024 is designed to provide information and resources to assist students during the first week of the semester. Information includes classroom locations, department and office hours, and technology resources (Canvas, Self-Service, and student e-mail access) to name a few. In addition to the main information booth, there will be Ram Pathway booths throughout campus to assist with questions regarding majors and career paths.
Many of the booths are located near the main fountain through Thursday.
Monday and Tuesday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
Wednesday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Thursday: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
