The four colleges of the State Center Community College District present the 4th Annual Men of Color Summit on Friday, March 21, 2025. Fresno City College, Reedley College, Clovis Community College, and Madera Community College have partnered to bring more than 300 local high school males of color to the summit. The summit will be held in the Old Administration Building at Fresno City College.
The summit includes special speakers and sessions designed to present information to help the students learn about higher education and successfully meeting their future goals. Students will be greeted by Fresno City College interim President, Dr. Kim Armstrong; Madera Community College President, Dr. Angel Reyna; and SCCCD Chancellor, Dr. Carole Goldsmith. Attendees will also hear from Dr. Daniel Okoli, UC Merced, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval, CSU Fresno President and Dr. André Stephens, Fresno Pacific University President. The keynote speaker is Dr. Frank Harris III, professor from San Diego State University.
Sessions will include a variety of topics designed to give students the skills and vital information they can use to find success in education and professionally.

10:25 am – 11:00 am - Keynote Address—Auditorium

11:10am – 11:50 am - Workshops in the Old Administration Building
11:50am – 12:00 pm - Break
12:00pm – 12:40 pm - Workshops
1:00pm – 2:00 pm - Lunch and Resource Fair - FCC Cafeteria and Veterans Square, this will include hands on activities, door prizes and first responder vehicles on display and other special academic programs.
