Description - AJ204

Satisfies the POST requirement to teach at a California Basic Police Academy. Presentation skills and techniques that apply in any public safety teaching environment.  Learning activities, facilitation of group activities, public speaking and resources available to enhance presentation skills.  Adult learning techniques are the foundation of the course.

Prerequisites

A California Peace Officer Standards and Training Basic Course certificate issued from an accredited regional police academy or equivalent as determined by the division Dean or their appointee. These skills and knowledge base are related to adopted POST and/or industry standards.

Note: Approval of equivalent training is not a guarantee state regulatory or licensing agencies will also grant equivalency.
