The Department of Art at FCC empowers students to reshape their worlds through critical inquiry and transformative creativity.  Each of the department’s classes provides an environment that fosters creativity, autonomy and experimentation. Students are exposed to a broad range of approaches to making and interpreting art, as well as diverse perspectives on the role of art and artists. 

Beginning and intermediate courses provide students with the knowledge and experience needed for a broad understanding of the visual arts. Courses are also offered over the summer and during unique study abroad programs. 

Art Space Gallery is the main art exhibition space of FCC, presenting exhibitions and acting as an educational space for the Studio Art and Art History program. 

Fresno City College is nestled near the lively Tower District and minutes from downtown Fresno.
