Journalism
Journalists are on the frontline of history as it unfolds in real-time, providing accurate and balanced accounts of the news and events that define our communities.
If you want to be a part of this vital and exciting profession, join the Fresno City College Journalism program.
Through hands-on training and real-world experience, the Journalism program helps students develop the necessary writing, multimedia, and critical-thinking skills to advance their education or join the profession.
The Journalism program is also home to The Rampage, an award-winning student-run newspaper that gives students experience running all aspects of a news organization. Rampage alumni have gone on to enjoy successful careers in newsrooms across the country.
Students take a variety of in-person and online courses including “News Writing,” “Multimedia Production,” “Introduction to Mass Communication” and “Race, Gender and the Media.”
