The Department of Art at FCC empowers students to reshape their worlds through critical inquiry and transformative creativity. Each of the department’s classes provides an environment that fosters creativity, autonomy and experimentation. Students are exposed to a broad range of approaches to making and interpreting art, as well as diverse perspectives on the role of art and artists.

Art Space Gallery

The Art Space Gallery hosts shows by internationally and nationally known artists, local and emerging artists, FCC faculty, and students. Each spring semester students have the opportunity to apply to exhibit their work in the annual student exhibition. The gallery also hosts artist lectures and acts as an educational space for the Studio Art and Art History program.
