What happens to pop culture after the fall of human civilization? What about 7 years after the fall? Or even 75 years? Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play, seeks to find out.
In this post-catastrophic future where the grid has failed, society has crumbled, and memories can no longer be stored on hard drives, a group of survivors come together to rebuild their world through the life-affirming act of telling stories under the stars during which time they begin to recount an episode of The Simpsons, "Cape Feare."
Over the course of the play’s three acts and three-quarters of a century timespan, we see the evolution of storytelling, and one Simpsons episode evolves into a myth and legend for a post-apocalyptic world.
