man working on diesel engineThis program is designed to meet the diesel technology, parts technician, service consultant, and service advisor shortages in the truck and bus dealerships, and service, fleet, and maintenance facilities.  Students will train on powertrains, electrical and electronic systems, chassis components and software, and engine diagnosis and repair.  Students will perform actual service and repair on vehicles in state-of-the-art labs, using tools and technologies, as well as Mack and Volvo trucks (Class 4-8) that will ensure they are workforce ready and qualified for National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) industry Medium-Heavy Truck/Bus certifications.

Adding fluid to a carThis program is designed to train students in technical knowledge of bumper-to-bumper maintenance and light repairs in the critical areas of engine systems, automatic transmission/transaxle, manual drive train and axles, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical, and heating and air conditioning.  Students will perform actual service and repair on vehicles in state-of-the-art labs, using tools, and technologies that will ensure they are workforce ready and qualified for the G1 National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) industry certification.

enjoy the great outdoors at sunsetThis program prepares students for employment in the recreation and leisure industry and is designed for individuals interested in enhancing the quality of life for others. The major is designed for students who have a passion for the outdoors, helping others, and bettering the community.  Curriculum includes an overnight backpacking trip to a local national park.  Recreation majors student beyond the classroom and experience fun activities and challenges.
