Commencement 2023
Ratcliffe Stadium is getting ready for the sounds of Pomp and Circumstances on Friday, May 19 as proud families and friends watch their graduates fulfill their dreams of earning a college degree. Graduates will start marching into the stadium at 6:30 p.m. for the time-honored Commencement Ceremony. This is College President Dr. Robert Pimentel’s first time to preside over a Fresno City College commencement ceremony since becoming president in July 2022.
This year, 2,687 students are eligible to participate in the ceremony earning 2,849 degrees. This is another record year. The number of graduates has increased each year since 2016. Degrees include Associate in Science and Associate in Arts degrees, and Associate Degrees for Transfer.
Guests will not need tickets to attend, and parking is free. Parking for graduates and their guests is in the new Fresno City College Parking Structure on Weldon Avenue near Blackstone. However, they will not be able to access the structure through Blackstone Avenue. They must enter the campus on McKinley Avenue and drive through the underpass to access Weldon. Guides will be posted along the way to give directions. A shuttle service is available for those who need assistance.
